‘NCIS’ STAR TEASES ‘MOMENT’ IN COLOMBIA

Will anything “interesting” happen between Tony and Ziva when they go to South America?

First, your strategic use of quotes amused me. Second, while I can only preview the conversation I had with Cote de Pablo about this episode (full convo will go up here on the Inside TV blog the day the episode airs, April 10) I can say that I made it a point to bring up one of the last trips Tony and Ziva took together: Paris, which found the pair giving conflicting reports about the nature of their interactions. In other words: We still have NO idea what, if anything, happened. And that was exactly their intention, she says. “The France trip was really great, lots of fun. But Michael [Weatherly] and I had our own agenda. The way we played scenes was that something had definitely happened down there — even though it was never addressed,” she recalls.

As it sounds like you know, this time around, the pair takes a trip to Colombia to work a case alongside a good friend of Ziva’s, played by The L Word‘s Karina Lombard. And from what de Pablo tells me, it seems as though like her longtime friend attempts to do a bit of eye-opening during the course of the episode to help Ziva realize that life is a series of important choices. “In this particular episode, I can’t say that much happens, but at the end, there’s a moment where you may take a closer look at the way DiNozzo may feel for Ziva,” she teases.

With three episodes left for her to film this season, de Pablo says she’s not entirely sure how the events from this episode will influence the end of the current season. “That’s a really good question and I talked about it with Gary and the writers. I think they have a little bit of information they’re not giving to me,” she says. “We’ll have to wait and see.”

What can you tell me about what’s next on NCIS? — Tyler
ADAM:
Oh, you know, just another day of saving the entire country! The team will be called in to work closely with the Chief of Naval Operations to stop an imminent attack against the U.S. They’ll also be collaborating with an eccentric businessman whose son was killed in a terrorist bombing. He must be quite an asset: I hear he will recur this season and possibly next.

Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on House, Castle, NCIS, Grey’s and More!

Question: Believe it or not, I only recently became addicted to NCIS. Better late than never, right? Got scoop for this late convert? —Joan
Ausiello:
Don’t feel so bad. I’m only now getting around to Gunsmoke. True story. Moving on to NCIS, now that the cat is out of the bag regarding the show’s Florida wedding, we can reveal that it was Brian Dietzen clad in a blinding mint green-and-fuschia tuxedo — with ruffles, mind you — when Matt Mitovich visited the show’s set this month. “The wardrobe presents some… challenges,” Dietzen shared while in costume, prepping for a scene where Jimmy unveils the color scheme to the NCIS team. “We might have to go with a lighter zone of colors and what not.” And at the top of Dietzen’s personal “gift” registry? “My biggest hope is to have Larry Miller come back [as bride-to-be Breena's father]…. He’s so fun to play with.”

Any more NCIS finale scoop? Cliff-hanger? Will someone die? Let’s hear it! — Rebecca
Asking if there will be a cliff-hanger on an NCIS finale is like asking if the episode will have a crime. Of course there’s a mighty cliff’er and plenty of danger involved, too. And if I had to put my money on the person most likely to be in a compromising situation, I’d have to go with Ducky, especially after what executive producer Gary Glasberg told me. “Ducky’s going to have his hands full. We’ve got a situation where there will be injured and bodies and he’ll have a lot on his plate. That combined with Palmer’s wedding — there’s a lot going on. Ducky is an integral part of this team and we’ve figured out a fun story line for him. I’m excited to see how David McCallum embraces it and how the whole team participates in it,” he says, reminding me with a laugh, “I view suspense and edge-of-your-seat as fun.”

NCIS Exclusive: Friday Night Lights Alum Gaius Charles Scores Scorching Role as Tony’s [Spoiler]

Posted by admin with No Comments

Gaius Charles has landed a (literally) hot new gig on CBS’ NCIS, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The Friday Night Lights MVP has been cast in the potentially recurring role of Jason, a charming, likable and keenly intelligent Baltimore native whom Tony (Michael Weatherly) saved from a fire years ago. Now an arson investigator and still haunted by the death of a family member years ago, Jason is driven — perhaps too far — to do his best work and try to save as many lives as he can.

This “kid from Baltimore” was most recently and vaguely alluded to in the Season 9 premiere, spurring much speculation among the top drama’s many fans about his ties to Tony.

“Many of the people involved with NCIS were big Friday Night Lights fans, so having Gaius join us is a genuine pleasure,” exec producer Gary Glasberg tells TVLine. “We are thrilled to have on board and look forward to everything he brings to the role.”

Charles, who experienced a bit of a career lull following FNL while he pursued a graduate degree in theology, recently guest-starred as a love interest for Margot Robbie’s Laura on ABC’s Pan Am.

Mega Buzz: Scoop on NCIS’ “Kid,

Posted by admin with No Comments

Got any scoop on the “kid from Baltimore” storyline on NCIS? — Maddie, via Twitter
ADAM:
Word on the “kid” is that he’s a boy Tony once saved from a fire many years ago. Unfortunately, not all of his family members made it out alive, which drove him to become an arson investigator. Look for him to be reunited with Tony when a string of fires leave the Baltimore cops stumped and in need of some federal input.

‘NCIS’ finale scoop: Jimmy Palmer’s wedding party heads to… — EXCLUSIVE

Posted by admin with No Comments

We’ve been building up to the NCIS wedding all season, and it’s almost here! But Jimmy Palmer’s much-awaited nuptials, which take place during the season finale, won’t be set in D.C. Nope, the team’s going on the road for the big event and headed to…

Florida!

“Breena’s character is from Florida, so the plan is to have this wedding in Florida,” executive producer Gary Glasberg reveals to EW exclusively. “The whole team will, in theory, all head down for that and at the same, time be dealing with some significant stuff back in D.C. It’ll be a juggling act between the two.”

Still in the process of being written, the finale will pit the team against a “unique” adversary that will challenge the team in a way we haven’t seen before, he adds.”This one will be a little different because it’s going to be more focused on the Navy and more about the fleet. Someone’s targeting Navy ships,” he says. “I like to pull things back periodically. I don’t want to forget that NCIS is a Navy-related show. I know that that’s important to our military overseas and a lot of our viewers. I think they’ll enjoy this sort of twist in the storyline.”

But will this twist include a body count? Glasberg’s understandably coy, but says, “There’s some danger involved and we’ll have to see where that puts our team. There’ll be a cliffhanger and we’ll see what’s left when we come back.”

How ominous!

NCIS returns with new episodes March 20.
